Germany, Wehrmacht. A War Merit Cross, I Class, By Steinhauer & Lück Archive 2) A 40-Year Service cross(Kriegsverdienstkreuz I. Klasse). Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked on the pinback with Prsidialkanzlei code 4 for Steinhauer & Lck, Ldenscheid, measuring 48. 46 mm (w) x 48. 28 mm (h), weighing 15. 8 grams, in extremely fine condition.
