A round silvered zink medal; the obverse depicting a leftward facing tigers head, with a fleur de lis, and inscribed Azad Hind in capital lettering; the reverse inscribed Indiens Freiheits Kampf (German Indias Fight for Freedom); with swords attached to the top of the medal; on a loop for suspension; measuring 36. 39 mm in diameter; weighing 21. 4 grams. Accompanied by its paper packet of issue;
