The interesting cylindrical cavity is all that remain of a fossil belemnite which was a squid-like creature with a tapering torpedo or bullet shaped body

Weighs 146 grams. Starry Jasper is a vibrant red jasper with intrusions of quartz veining along with splashes of silvery , metallic looking pyrite. It was collected many years ago from a large open cut gold mine at Reedys near Cue in Western Australia.
