Prussia, Kingdom. An Order Of The Red Eagle, Civil Division Iv Class Cross Hold The War Merit Cross 2nd(Roter Adler Orden Kreuz IV. Klasse). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1864 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand painted Hohenzollern eagle, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, unmarked, measuring 38. 95
