Germany, Weimar Republic. A German Field Honour Decoration Hold He was struck off strength(Deutsches Feld Ehrenzeichen). Constructed of silvered and gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an elongated eight pointed radiant star, the obverse bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a raised German soldier in Stahlhelm and full field gear, with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, etched with an inscription of DEUTSCHES FELD EHRENZEICHEN
