Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms joined together through the outer quadrants by a white enameled ring, overlaid by a central gilded and black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse pebbled and bearing a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTE UMD DAS DEUTSCHE ROTE KREUZ (FOR SERVICE
